A total of 40 people have been taken into custody as a result of house raids conducted by police forces in the southern province of Adana this morning. Those detained in the operation are accused of “participating in demonstrations” and include Azadiya Welat daily staff Hakan Ergün and many children.

The detained children have been taken to the Juvenile Department of Police Directorate and the others to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
