44th anniversary of the PKK celebrated in Athens, Avignon and Montpellier

ATHENS

The 44th anniversary of the PKK was celebrated with the participation of hundreds of people in Lavrio Camp, in Greece.

At the celebration organized by the Democratic Kurdish Cultural Center in Athens, TCŞ and TJK-E, the area was decorated with PKK, KCK, TJK-E, YPG and YPJ flags.

Before the celebration, a minute's silence was held for the freedom fighters who fell as martyrs in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Afterwards, a speech was made on behalf of the Athens Democratic Kurdish Cultural Center, explaining the meaning and importance of the day.

Congratulatory messages from PAJK and Komalên Ciwan, Kurdish parties, revolutionary organizations from Turkey and Greek anarchist, left and socialist organizations were read at the event.

AVIGNON

Thousands of Kurds in the cities of Avignon and Montpellier in southern France celebrated the 44th anniversary of the PKK and chanting "Everywhere is resistance, everywhere is Rojava."

Kurds marched in front of the town hall in Avignon with PKK banners chanting slogans such as "Biji Serok Apo" and "Biji PKK". At the end of the march, a delegation gave a file to the Deputy mayor of Avignon regarding the delisting of the PKK. The file also wrote about the civilian massacres carried out by the Turkish state in Northern and Eastern Syria.

MONTPELLIER

In Montpellier, the founding anniversary of the PKK was celebrated with a public meeting.
