A 5-day tent protest was launched in Athens to expose the chemical weapons attacks and other dirty war policies carried out by the Turkish state against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas.

On the first day of the tent protest launched in Akademiya Square by the Athens Democratic Kurdish Cultural Center and TCŞ, PKK and KCK banners, pictures of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, as well as posters and banners exposing the use of chemical weapons were hung.

During the action, signatures were also collected for the PKK to be removed from the EU list of terrorist organizations, and leaflets in English and Greek were distributed to the people passing by, exposing the war crimes by the Turkish state and the resistance of the guerrillas.

A call was made to all international institutions, especially the United Nations and the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons, OPCW, not to be a partner in crime and to withdraw their support to the Turkish state.
