5 thousand civilians stranded at border

Over 5 thousand people, most of them women and children who had to leave Kobanê and those who are not being allowed to cross the border, are under attack by ISIS gangs. The Turkish soldiers and police are also attacking the people wanting to cross into North Kurdistan because of the ongoing attacks by the ISIS gangs on Suruç border.

On one hand, people trying to cross the border near the village of Yumurtalık were attacked by Turkish troops and police, and on the other, over 5 thousand people remain under the attack by ISIS gangs at Suruç-Kobanê border.

The ISIS gangs launched heavy attacks from İzaê hill on the area where people from Kobanê are stranded. The sound of the weapons can be heard from the Suruç side of the border. The people with their animals and belongings who wanted to cross the border were also attacked by Turkish police and troops.
