735 people detained in ‘February 15’ terror of the Turkish state

685 were taken into custody during house raids and the other 50 during demonstrations.

Turkish Ministry of Interior announced the balance sheet of detention operations carried out at the anniversary of the February 15 conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan that led to his arrest in 1999.

According to the Ministry, 735 people were taken into custody in the related operations. Of these, 685 were taken into custody during house raids and the other 50 during demonstrations.

The Ministry said that of those detained, 61 were remanded in custody and 226 were released, while 448 people remain in custody.
