A boat carrying dozens of Kurdish refugees is not allowed to cross into Greece.

A boat carrying 82 Kurdish refugees has been stranded in the Aegean Sea for 12 hours.

According to reports, most of the refugees come from South and East Kurdistan and include women and children. While the boat is not allowed to cross into the Greek border, a video from the boat shows refugees calling for urgent help.

Reports say that the boat’s motor broke down and it faces the risk of overturning.

The refugees in question reportedly tried to cross into Greek territory on the night of August 25 .
