Êzidî genocide condemned in antifascist tournament in Switzerland

The “Antifascist Football Tournament” in Swiss Canton of Ticino marked its event with a display of condemnation towards the genocide of Êzidîs.

More than 300 football players from over 30 football teams have joined the “Antifascist Football Tournament” held in the town of Lumune in Swiss Canton of Ticino.

Among the multicultural 30 teams originating from the whole canton that took part in the tournament, were also teams from Kobanê and Qamishlo cities of Rojava. The team of Kobanê went in all games with their tricots depicting Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. 

At the end, before the trophy was handed to the winners of the tournament, all football players and spectators gathered on the field and expressed their harshest condemnation towards the genocide perpetrated by ISIS against the Êzidî community in Shengal region three years ago.

During the following award presentation, PKK and YPG flags were raised along with placards and banners protesting the aggressions of the AKP government and ISIS on the Kurdish people.
