Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's birthday was celebrated with an event in Bremen.
An event was promoted by the Seve Women's Council in Bremen to mark the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Hundreds of Kurdish women attended the event that took place at the Bremen Democratic Kurdish Community Center.
DTKM co-chairs Xezale Yalçın and Said Bilgin made speeches at the celebration, which started with a minute’s silence in memory of those who fell as martyrs in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle.
Yalçın said that Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is fighting for Kurdistan and the women's struggle, and added that he has become a symbol of freedom for the peoples of the Middle East, especially women.
Yalçın said: "We will continue to fight for the freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. We invite everyone to stand up for our Leadership."
Bremen Assembly co-chair Said Bilgin drew attention to the elections to be held on 14 May and said: "Let's all take responsibility and participate in the electoral events that will take place on April 29-30 and May 1st in Bremen State this year."
After the speeches, the cake prepared for the birthday of the Kurdish People's Leader was cut by the families of the martyrs and their relatives.
During the celebration, a video about Öcalan's life was screened. After the movie, Özgür Cömert took the stage.
