Öcalan's team of lawyers applies to visit their client
Abdullah Öcalan's team of lawyers has again applied to visit their client, who is imprisoned on the maximum security prison island of Imrali since 1999.
Öcalan's lawyers Newroz Uysal, Faik Özgür Erol, Cengiz Yürekli and Mazlum Dinç, have again applied for permission to visit the Imrali island prison tomorrow, Friday.
After 8 years of interruption, lawyers were able to finally meet with their clients on 2 and 22 May, 12 and 18 June and 7 August 2019.
On 23 September 2020 Bursa prosecutor imposed a ban on visits he justified with the Road Map presented by Öcalan in addition to the defense sent to the European Court of Human Rights in 2009.
