Özkan Özdemir reached 22nd day of hunger strike in Paris

Paris Pir Sultan Abdal co-chair Hüsniye Küçükkeleş and the representative of the Proletarian Revolutionary gave a message of solidarity with hunger strike resistance.

Özkan Özdemir has been on hunger strike for 22 days in Paris demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The Kurdish activist is carrying out his hunger strike at ACTIT, and was visited by members of FEDA, ADKH (the European Confederation of Democratic Peoples) and Proletarian Revolutionary.

Pir Rıza Yağmur, from the Democratic Alevi Federation (FEDA), commended the hunger strikers demanding the end of isolation and expressed his respect for their action. 

The representative of the European Confederation of Democratic Peoples (ADKH) said that the visit intended to increase the solidarity with the resistance and said that they were talking about what  they could do in the process.

Hunger striker Özkan Özdemir said that visits are a source of good motivation and said “When we get on this way, we see how much our lives, our comrades and our people share the same feelings and ideas. I am also a revolutionary from Alevi origin. Every faith and idea is important to me. I am proud of my Alevi origin.”
