Dr Thomas Jeffrey Miley said that "a conspiracy of silence shrouds Turkey's war on the Kurds.

Miley was interviewed by journalist Erem Kansoy. Dr. Miley is a Lecturer of Political Sociology at the University of Cambridge, co-editor of “You Freedom and Mine: Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdish Question in Erdogan’s Turkey” (Montreal, Blackrose Books, 2018), member of the Executive Board of the EU Turkey Civic Commission (EUTCC), and patron of Peace in Kurdistan.

Topics discussed include the collaboration of the KDP of Iraqi Kurdistan with Turkey in their war against the Kurdish movement, Erdogan’s agenda in war against the Kurdish population in order to retain power, and how he is presently using the Ukraine war as cover to intensify these efforts. In addition, they discuss the silence of the West on Turkey’s war crimes, including alleged use of chemical weapons, which is occurring in the context of the lawlessness of NATO’s actions on the global scale, and the present situation of never-ending and escalating world war.
