A group who call themselves Martyr Hogir Amed Vengeance Unit announced that they carried out an action against the central Yenisehir District Police Headquarters Police Central Directorate in Amed.

The Martyr Hogir Amed Vengeance Unit said the following in their announcement:

“Members of the Martyr Hogir Amed Vengeance Unit carried out an action against the Yenisehir District Police Headquarters Police Central Directorate in the afternoon on July 24 with handmade explosives and personal weapons.

The number of injured policemen in this action could not be determined. The bombs hit the Police Directorate causing material damage to the building and one armored police vehicle.”

The statement said the invading police surrounded the neighborhood afterwards and added: “Our unit members have safely extracted themselves from the area.”
