Actions for Öcalan at the Louvre and Gare du Nord

Demonstrators attracted tourists’ attention by exposing the attacks of the Turkish state and the isolation regime imposed on Öcalan.

The student’s movement Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (Revolutionary Youth’s Movement) together with students initiative YXK and young people from the JXK organised a civil disobedience actions in Gare du Nord in Paris.

The action, organized to draw attention to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, consisted in opening a huge poster with a photo of Öcalan, as well as PKK and KCK flags and photographs of three Kurdish women's revolutionaries, Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez, murdered in Paris in 2013.

The young people also opened a banner in French saying: "Fascist Turkish state get out of Kurdistan".

Young people chanted slogans demanding freedom for Öcalan and condemning the fascist Turkish state.

Chanting slogans like Biji Serok Apo (Long Live President Apo) the mass left the train station and walked on the street to end their action.

Books by Öcalan read at the Louvre

Youth organizations also met in front of the famous Louvre Museum and protested against the isolation imposed on the Kurdish People's Leader. Young people sat at the entrance of the museum and read Öcalan's books.
