A meeting was held in Limassol organised by the Kurdish People's Assembly in Limassol, Cyprus, to mark 1 November, World Kobanê Day. Photographs of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, YPG, YPJ and PYD flags were carried to the rally held in Moloz Park.

The rally started with a minute silence for the martyrs of the revolution.

The celebration started with the speech of PYD Cyprus Representative Yasin Terbüş who reminded that ISIS barbarism and Turkish state fascism suffered a historical defeat against the freedom forces in Kobanê.

Terbüş added that the Kurdish people continue to display a great resistance against Erdoğan fascism with the spirit of Kobanê and stated that the peoples of the Middle East saluted the freedom leader Abdullah Öcalan.
