An event was held in the Mexican state of Chiapas to protest the chemical attacks of the Turkish army against the guerrilla troops and the invasion attacks against Rojava.
The event was held in the state of Chiapas as part of the “Internationalist Action Against the Use of Chemical Weapons in Kurdistan” campaign.
Activists attending the event in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas protested the Turkish use of chemical weapons against the guerrilla troops in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) and invasion attacks against Rojava (northern Syria).
A documentary about Rojava directed by Spanish journalist Ferran Barber was screened in Sendas, a cultural event centre.
During the event, Turkey’s chemical attacks against the guerrilla troops and the ongoing attacks on the Rojava revolution were discussed.
Participants stated that the Democratic Confederalism project introduced by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan is a source of hope for the peoples of the world.
Participants also suggested establishing a local committee in solidarity with the Kurdish freedom struggle.
