Swiss Partizan supporters and AGEB (European Immigrant Workers Union), organized an action in Zurich to protest the political police operations carried out by the Turkish state throughout Turkey and Kurdistan. The United Struggle Forces also supported the action.
A banner reading "Repressions, detentions, arrests cannot intimidate us" was carried during the protest.
Reminding that 12 people, including Partizan readers and a New Democracy journalist, were detained on 6 May after the wave of arrests targeting the Peoples' Democratic Party and the Socialist Party of the Oppressed, the organizers said in a statement that "State pressure and violence applied by the Turkish state fascism to earthquake victims this time turned to the revolutionaries who rushed to the people's side after the earthquake. We will not take a single step back from our struggle."
