Activity in Meckenheim for Öcalan and all political prisoners

In German city Meckenheim an information tent has been pitched to inform the public on the aggravated isolation on Öcalan and the conditions of political prisoners in Turkey.

Kurdish people staged a tent activity in German city Meckenheim to inform the public on the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, and to express support to the jailed HDP members, journalists, co-mayors and human rights activists.

Kurds from Bonn and Euskirchen joined the activity organised by Meckenheim People's Council at the city's main street, and was met with great interest by the locals. Pictures of jailed politicians, journalists, human right activists, and he jailed educators in hunger strike since 160 days- Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça-were hung on the tent.

During the activity, a statement was read out aloud condemning the aggravated isolation of Öcalan, and called him the only chance for the Kurdish cause to be resolved peacefully, for which the international institutions have to act with responsibility for the immediate release of Öcalan.
