Aid sent to Riqban Camp not enough

Officials from the Riqban Camp on the Syrian-Jordanian camp announced that the food and vital aid sent to the camp on November 3 is not enough for even a month.

The US aid sent on November 3 have reached the Riqban Camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border. US officials had announced that they sent enough aid for 50.000 people.

Riqban Camp Official Abdullah Al-Aqba said the camp received 1.400 tonnes of various food and clothing items in aid packages: “The aid can provide needs for a family of 5 for 3 or 4 weeks. Our committee is distributing everything equally for all persons in the camp.”

Al Aqba said every family receives some food as well as clothing and health supplies: “The aid we distributed can provide for a family of 5. From now on, we will distribute the aid justly according to the means at our disposal and the needs of each family.”
