During today's Governor's Meeting in Ankara, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu have implied an imminent appointment of trustees to the DBP-held municipalities in North Kurdistan region.
Yıldırım said the followings regarding the law draft that enabled the appointment of trustees to municipalities with the help of the delegated legislations which are not meant to be passed by the Parliament:
“Governors have been given full authority regarding mayors. Please do not act timidly. This is a huge responsibility. Do not have any hesitation while implementing the laws.”
