Former Van Provincial chair Kayhan Türkmenoğlu, who was elected deputy once again in the last elections for the AKP, continues to stay on the agenda because of his corruption.

AKP Van Deputy Türkmenoğlu is known for his corruption with the front companies he founded. He especially sent lists to Iş-Kur to recruit personnel. Now is trying to fend off corruption allegations by asking everyone accusing him to prove their accusations.

The place of the Specialized Hospital, which was demolished while being one of the most important cardiovascular hospitals in Turkey, was given to Global Inşaat, of which Türkmenoğlu is a partner. Edremit Municipality of AKP said that there was a problem in the construction and they couldn't do it, to the companies that aspire to acquire the hospital land paying up to 100 million TL, gave it to Global Inşaat for only 20 thousand TL.

In addition, the AKP Municipality is opening new areas to development in Edremit. Land registry transactions are carried out by the real estate office named Premar, of which Türkmenoğlu is a also partner. Edremit Municipal Council Members Kerem Baynal and Fatih Dülger seem to be the official owners. This company also carries out the billboard and advertisement works of the Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities managed by the trustee.
