Deputies of the ruling AKP government attacked HDP MPs during today's Constitutional Commission meeting on lifting of immunities in Turkish parliament.

While the AKP members were accompanied by 11 bureaucrats from the Ministry of Justice during the meeting, AKP deputies firstly threatened to batter HDP MP Ayşe Başaran, and later assaulted the HDP deputies.

AKP MPs went on to knock down HDP Group Deputy Chair İdris Baluken and kicked him for a while, in response to which HDP deputies shouted "Murderers".

A deputy for the CHP was also harassed verbally for broadcasting the attack of AKP members live on periscope.

As tension in the parliament continues, the meeting has been resumed for an hour.
