AKP insists on its denial policy towards Kurds
In a statement about the so called “Oslo negotiations” between the PKK and the state, KCK Executive Council Presidency has stated that the recording of a meeting leaked to the internet last week wasn’t leaked by them because this would be in total disagreement to the movement’s principles and political ethic.
KCK Executive Council Presidency has evaluated the isolation of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan, potential cross-border ground operation and the AKP efforts to push Iran into the war.
The statement said the followings; "The AKP government is basing its existence and continuity to the elimination of the national values, achievements and the Liberation Movement of the Kurdish people. It has formed its security, economic and social policies on this concept of destruction and elimination. The so-called new fighting tactics and strategy is the way of not recognizing the national rights of Kurds and obtaining a result through colonist policies that Turkey has been rooted to for 80 years. The button of this destruction and purging concept was pushed on July 27 since when our leader Ocalan has been deprived of the legal right to meet with his lawyers and family. The next step was the intensification of continuous air and land operations on all the areas of guerrilla positions and the simultaneous intense pressure and arrests applied with the intention of putting our people under oppression and submission, as a result of which more than 200 people have been taken into custody and arrested most recently in Þýrnak, Cizre, Van and other cities. Basing its internal and external politics on the concept of destruction, the AKP government remains at the zero point in the Kurdish issue.
The government suspended and left the protocols of our Leadership unanswered, while not establishing the Constitutional and Peace Councils and not taking any responsibility in resolving the Kurdish problem. The Leadership’s call to ‘solve the problem in a week if ways are opened’ was similarly encountered by a dead silence. On the contrary, they implemented the new "war strategy" which they also underline importantly. In this way began the process, in which these destruction intents, starting with a severe isolation of our Leadership, have been met by the Kurdish Freedom Movement and the Kurdish people with the determination to defend ourselves and to resist at all levels.
