ISIS gangs, described as ‘a group of people bound together with anger' by the AKP, has claimed responsibility for the attack which targeted the Reina night club in Ortaköy, Istanbul at new year night.
Reuters announced that ISIS issued a statement and claimed responsibility for the massacre. 39 people died and 65 people, 4 of whom are in critical condition, were wounded during the attack.
This may be the first attack in Turkey for which ISIS claimed responsibility. Until now, ISIS had predominantly massacred Kurds and the forces of democracy in Turkey. With its latest attack, ISIS seems to have expanded its list of targets in Turkey.
