Speaking at the Kurdistan 1st Alevi Conference, DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Aysel Tuğluk said "freedom of Alevis is the freedom of Kurds. The freedom of Kurds is the freedom of Alevis. The freedom struggle of Kurds and Alevis is the same struggle. They are as one." said.
The Kurdistan 1st Alevi Conference has been organized with the slogan "Being One and Being Pir are Being Alive" by Alevi movements and organization in Diyarbakır. The conference is being held in the Cegerxwîn Culture Center, in Diyarbakır Kayapınar Municipality.
