Amed People's Initiative has called for mass participation in the march to Amara, village of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, to take place on Öcalan's birthday on 4 April.

The Initiative said they supported the peace process which started with the call Öcalan made in Newroz in Amed on 21 March, and remarked that the Kurdish people should also get involved in the process by displaying democratic acts.

The Initiative called on the people in Kurdish region, in Amed, Urfa and neighboring provinces in particular, to join the march to the village of the Kurdish leader on 4 April which it commented as the history of Kurdish revival.
