Another night of clashes in Serêkaniyê

Clashes between People's Defense Units (YPG) forces and armed groups backed by Turkey became heavier in the West Kurdistan city of Serêkaniyê at evening hours on Monday.

Intense mobility was observed at the base of armed groups in the boundary district of Ceylanpınar, in Urfa, as of evening hours on Monday as they received more military equipment and fighters from outside the city. Following the remarkable decrease in the number of members of these armed groups in clashes with YPG forces, a large number of new militants joined the groups in Ceylanpınar on Monday. According to local sources, this is because new groups will be sent from different regions into Serêkaniyê.

The groups in Ceylanpınar opened fire on Serêkaniyê late Monday evening.

On the other hand, one of the five seriously wounded members of these groups, hospitalized in Ceylanpınar, died at hospital on Monday.

At evening hours at dark, the groups brought three or four bodies with a delivery car and buried them near the area which they use as a base in Ceylanpınar.
