Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have liberated the village of al-Rashid following fierce clashes with ISIS gangs today. Many ISIS members were killed in the village and bodies of 5 were seized by SDF. Fighters have started search and sweep efforts after clearing the village of ISIS gangs.

The Operation Wrath of Euphrates continues since November 2016. As part of the campaign, SDF forces liberated the Tabqa town and Euphrates Dam on May 10 following a 50-day operation. With the liberation of this area, SDF forces tightened the circle around ISIS stronghold Raqqa.

The Operation Wrath of Euphrates continues in its fourth phase that was relaunched on May 10 after a 15-day suspension.
