Anti-war march in Hamburg

Kurds attended the anti-war march held in Hamburg.

An anti-war march was held in Hamburg, to mark World Peace Day.

More than a thousand people attended the march, which started in front of the Hamburg train station.

The photograph of Hakan Arslan, whose bones were delivered to his family in a bag 7 years after he was killed, was carried on the march, which was attended by many Kurds living in Hamburg.

Speakers drew attention to the increasing cost of living as well as the wars in many parts of the world, especially in Kurdistan and Ukraine. Activists ended the march with a rally in front of the Hamburg DGB building.
