Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) members are facing a never-ending attack across Turkey as the AKP government and President Erdoğan continue to make the party a target.

This time, the flat of HDP MP Candidate Necmettin Doğrul for Kocaeli province was targeted by an armed attack.

Doğrul said the attack took place late at night, telling the following; “I heard gunshots in front of the house at night. I didn’t mind it anyway. Then I heard the same for the second time. When I looked at the street on my balcony, I saw some persons opening fire into our home. There were AKP flags hung behind the car. Those who opened fire sped away from there making the Grey Wolves sign. In the morning I saw bullet marks in front of the house and on the walls.”

Doğrul said the attack targeted the HDP in his person, stressing that they will not fall such provocations hours before Sunday’s elections; “These attacks can never intimidate us.”

HDP MP Candidate Necmettin Doğrul has filed a criminal complaint on the attack.
