At least 27 HDP members detained in 3 cities

At least 27 HDP members have been detained in Mardin. Sirnak and Izmir. Police raided a house in Nusaybin and shot at the door to force it to open.

The AKP-MHP regime continues its political genocide operations against the Kurdish people and their elected representatives and allies.

MARDİN

In Mardin’s Kiziltepe, Nusaybin and Savur districts, anti-terror untis raided several homes in early morning hours. The police conducted searches and detained several people. HDP member Hatip Oncu and his father Ferhat Oncu were detained in Savur. In Kiziltepe, HDP members Hamza Agirman, Abdulkadir Tati and Faysal tas were detained.

In Nusaybin, city council member Zeynep Sevlus and HDP member Erhan Mutlu were detained. The police opened Erhan Mutlu’s door by shooting at the lock. The house was searched roughly.

Detainees have been taken to the police station.

ŞIRNAK

Two unidentified persons were taken into custody in Şırnak. In the Idil district, council member Mehmet Eraslan, Vahap Ozel, Idil Yalcin and Hatice Kaya were detained.

Detainees were taken to the police headquarters. The governorate announced a total of 21 detentions.

İZMİR

Police raided several homes in Izmir in the early morning hours. HDP Narlidere chapter Co-chair Mehmet Gul and 12 others were detained on charges of membership to a terrorist organization. Books and electronic devices were confiscated in house searches and detainees were taken to the police headquarters.

Identified detainees are Mehmet Gul, Deniz Yilmaz, Sevket Topkaya, Ozcan Ertan and Yasin Dalbudak.
