Attack kills 4 Iraqi soldiers in Kirkuk

Mercenaries killed 4 soldiers of the Iraqi army in Kirkuk.

Mercenaries attacked a checkpoint located on the Sulaymaniyah-Kirkuk road and held by the Iraqi military on Friday. The attack killed four Iraqi soldiers.

ISIS is suspected to be behind the attack.

An Iraqi high military delegation led by Chief of General Staff, Abdulamir Yaralah, moved to Kirkuk for an investigation.

On the other hand, Iraqi troops and Hashd al-Shaabi militia launched a joint operation against ISIS on Mount Hemrin.

According to information obtained from Iraqi security units, a vehicle of Hashd al-Shaabi hit a mine during the operation. The explosion killed one and injured six others.
