Iraq Resafe Court has issued an arrest warrant for PUK Secretary General Primary Deputy Kosret Resul Eli for calling the Iraqi police and army “invaders”.

The court considered a statement by Kosret Resul, which included the term “invader” with regard to the Iraqi army and the Federal police force, as a crime. Resul was also accused of belittling Iraqi military forces and acting against them.

The court stated that the verdict was given in accordance to the Article 226 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
