While the Turkish state continues its invasion attacks in South Kurdistan and Iraq, the Supreme Judicial Council in Baghdad has ordered the closure of the Yazidi Freedom and Democracy Party (PADÊ), as well as the Freedom Movement (Tevgera Azadi) and Democratic National Front parties on arbitrary and unfounded grounds.
This decision coincides with the 10th anniversary of the genocidal attacks against the Yazidis, and at a time when the Turkish state is expanding its invasion attacks more than ever.
On 23 July, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammed Shia Sudani instructed state institutions to use the term ‘banned organization’ for the PKK in all official correspondence.
