According to a statement on the balance sheet of the offensive, 9 villages were liberated and an area of around 200 square kilometers between Hewler and Mosul was liberated from ISIS on the first day of the operation.

These 9 villages were taken under control as a result of aerial and ground attacks on ISIS groups on the Xazır front to the east of Mosul where clashes intensified.

International coalition aircraft targeted 17 ISIS positions and destroyed 4 bomb-laden vehicles of the gangs.

Names of the villages liberated from ISIS on the first day of the operation are as follows: Basehre, Tercele, Herabe Sultan, Kerbeli, Bazgırdan, Shakoli, Small Bedene, Great Bedene, Sheikh Emir villages and the ceramic plant to the west of the Hasan Sham village.
