BDP and DTK delegation in Þemdinli

A Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) delegation has arrived in Þemdinli where Kurdish guerrillas have been active and intense clashes have taken place since 23 July. The delegation has left for the hamlets of Çem and Yiðitler where clashes have recently intensified.

The delegation aims to carry out a survey in the area since the Turkish government is trying to hide the truth as to what is going on in the region since the beginning of the operation and clashes. The region has been closed to civilians as well as government officials and authorities.

The BDP-DTK delegation includes co-chairs of BDP and DTK, as well as BDP Group Deputy Chair Ýdris Baluken, BDP MPs Ertuðrul Kürkçü, Levent Tüzel, Hüsamettin Zenderlioðlu, Halil Aksoy, Nazmi, EMEP (Labor Party) President Selma Gürkan, ÖDP(Freedom and Democracy Party) co-chairs Alper Taþ and Bilge Seçkin Çetinkaya, SDP (Socialist Democracy Party) President Rýdvan Turan and ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) President Figen Yüksekdað.
