Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Istanbul provincial organization has released a written statement on Wednesday condemning the racist attacks the People's Democratic Congress (HDK) delegation suffered during the black sea tour which was called off due to violent lynch attempts by ultranationalist groups in Sinop and Samsun.

BDP pointed out that the attacks and provocations deeply saddened the peoples of Turkey, adding that “This incident is of importance in terms of revealing the AKP government's insincere intention in the process of talks for peace”.

We know the people of Sinop believe in democracy and disapprove this kind of provocations, said BDP Istanbul organization and added the followings; “It is meaningful that these obviously organized provocations coincide with the process of negotiations. It is also attention-grabbing that police displayed a permissive attitude during the provocation of the mass”.
