BDP denied access to clash area

Mayors and members of BDP provincial and district organizations in Þýrnak region have been denied permission to go to the town of Beytüþþebap where clashes and operations have been going on for some days.

A number of BDP members left for the operation area after gathering in front of BDP Þýrnak building on Wednesday morning. The group was stopped by mobile force and plainclothes policemen who had set up a barricade with dozens of armoured vehicles on the way out of the city. The delegation was first denied permission to leave Þýrnak on the grounds of the tension in Beytüþþebap but was later allowed to move on, on conditions of knowing that they would once again be stopped at other spots of police forces on the way to the operation area.

The delegation members who were once again stopped by soldiers after a short while are still waiting at a search point.
