BDP Executive Board to gather today

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) central executive board will hold a meeting on Wednesday afternoon concerning the recent developments in the process of talks for a solution to the Kurdish problem.

The meeting is expected to focus on the letter Abdullah Öcalan, the jailed leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), has sent to the party as part of the ongoing process of talks for a solution to the Kurdish problem. The letter by the Kurdish leader will also be sent to Europe and Kandil.

According to the reports received, the BDP deputies who took part in the Imralı delegation will also go to Kandil and Europe to take note of debates on the letter sent by the Kurdish leader. Following the compilation of the debates at each of three centers, a new delegation is expected to visit the Kurdish leader in Imralı Prison. Following the meeting, Öcalan will reportedly present a road map and make a call for the solution of the Kurdish question.

BDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, speaking to Nuçe TV on the letter by Öcalan, said that they will enable the conveyance of the letter to other two addresses, Kandil and Europe. "Mr. Öcalan is currently working on a draft project for a solution to the Kurdish question. We will gather our proposals and then convey them to Imralı", he said.
