Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Avcılar district organization member Meryem Yiğit was taken into custody while leaving the BDP office late Friday evening.

Yiğit was reportedly detained by police on the grounds of a warrant of arrest issued against her earlier. BDP member was taken to the police headquarters in Istanbul.
