Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Women's Assemblies has released a statement to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25 when the Kurdish women will be taking to the streets under the slogan "We were born with Beritans and grew up with Zilans".

The statement called attention to the structural violence imposed on women by the combination of capitalist modernity and male-dominant mindset, and remarked that women have faced all kinds of violence because of the conflict environments and gendered, repressive, authoritarian and conservative administrations in the region.

The statement remarked that on 25 November women will rise up for a "world without violence" against social gender inequality, gender discrimination, patriarchal social violence, domestic violence, racism, nationalism, denial and assimilation.

Also calling attention to the role of women in the Rojava revolution, the statement said women will also take to the streets on 25 Nov. to say stop the imperial forces trying to supress the women's revolution in Rojava.

"The Rojava revolution against male-dominant and gendered governments, exploitative mindsets and authoritarian administrations is not for Kurds and women alone, it is also a hope of freedom and democracy for the entire Middle East region", the statement said and underlined that supporting and joining the revolution of women in Rojava should be the major agenda of the women's struggle in order to stop the armed gang groups brutally attacking and raping women and children by giving fatwas.
