BDP: Workers' Day for peace

In a message for Workers’ Day, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) has underlined that workers suffered from a policy of repression and death as well as all those standing for peace and freedom. The BDP invite people to take to the streets to counter the oppression.

“A military coup-style regime is being imposed on the people of the country through arrests, operations and oppressive policies aiming to eliminate opponents and dissenting voices. - said the statement - Children in prisons are tortured and abused, those who stand up for their rights are subjected to violence. The sense of justice is disappearing every passing day. Those responsible for the Roboski massacre have still not been found. Unsolved murders, extrajudicial killings, the massacres of May 1st, Maraþ, Çorum, Sivas and Gazi are still waiting to be enlightened.

It has also been emphasized in the message that the government insists on policies of war instead of taking steps for peace on the biggest issue of the country, i.e. the Kurdish issue. Finally, those working for peace, democracy and freedom have been invited to unite forces and stand up against war and exploitation altogether on the streets today.
