At least four soldiers were wounded following an explosion which occurred as a military convoy passed by in Bingöl's Tavşantepe region near Diyarbakır's Lice district on Monday evening.

According to initial reports received, two of the soldiers were seriously wounded in the explosion which occurred a hundred meters away from the Duru Gendarmerie Station in Lice.

Dicle News Agency has reported that one other soldier was missing.

Wounded soldiers were rushed to Diyarbakır Military Hospital with a helicopter. Turkish military has launched an operation in the explosion area.
