A blast in a cement factory in the Turkish capital Ankara left 3 people dead and 2 others severely injured late yesterday.

The blast in Bolu Cement Factory in Kazan district of Ankara reportedly erupted as a result of congestion by raw materials in the facility’s boiler.

The factory’s deputy manager Orhan Özer, chief of production Haluk Bilge, and operations staff member Bayram Altın, died at the scene of the blast while worker Yasin Yıldırım and factory’s operations manager Enis Oyma were rushed to Ankara Numune Hospital after suffering severe injuries.
