Riseup4 Rojava launched a campaign to step up the boycott of industries investing in Turkey in the city of Florence in Italy.

Posters and leaflets were distributed in Italy asking people to boycott the commercial agreements with UniCredit bank in Turkey, and companies such as arms company Leonardo and the famous chocolate company Ferrero.

A banner was hanged on one of the bridges in the city saying "No to investments in war, boycott Ferrero this Christmas".

Calls for a boycott targeted especially Ferrero, producer of Nutella. Activists reminded of the recent accusation to Ferrero which not only buy hazelnuts in Turkey but also use cheap labor there, especially Kurds and Arabs working as seasonal workers in the Black Sea. Recent accusations also alleged that Ferrero is using children.
