Polling stations will be set up in the cities of London, Manchester, Leicester and Edinburgh between 20 and 24 May. The British Election Coordination invited people to cast their vote to “Stop the dictator, make history!”
The Election Coordination, formed by Kurdish, Alevi, revolutionary left and local associations in Britain, started preparations for the 2nd tour of the Presidential elections.
The YSK limited the voting date to 20 and 21 May in Britain, where the AKP-MHP regime was defeated, but upon the objections and intense reactions, the YSK backed down from this decision on Tuesday and confirmed voting would be held between 20-24 May in all countries.
The Election Coordination will carry the people to the polls free of charge in regions with a high presence of Kurdish and Turkish voters.
In the UK, a total of 5 polling stations were set up for the 14 May elections, while for the 28 May elections, the polls will be in 4 regions. Voting will start at 8 am on 20 May in all regions and will continue until 10 pm in the evening.

Speaking to the ANF, Doğan Genç from the British Election Coordination said that the work to overthrow the Erdoğan regime in the 2nd tour of the Presidential elections started with great hope and excitement. Genç said that no one should fall into pessimism and despair. "Despite the oppression policies of millions of our people, the AKP-MHP regime could not achieve the success it wanted and the Presidential Election would be decided in the second round. As the British Election Coordination, we started our work with great morale and hope, together with all our volunteers. We are working to guarantee maximum participation in Britain, where the AKP-MHP fascist regime was defeated on 14 May."
Doğan called on the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey in Britain to fulfil their historical and humanitarian responsibility and cast their vote.
London Kurdish Community Center co-chair Türkan Budak underlined that the people should not despair and demoralize, and that everyone should be working to ensure participation and end the regime.
Kurdish and Turkish Community Center (Day-Mer) Spokesperson Feyzullah Cinpolat said: "Polls will be set up in four cities in Britain. We invite our people to vote once again, with hope and determination. Let's go to the polls and make history together. Let’s get rid of the one-man dictatorship in our country."
