Buldan visits people in earthquake-hit Birecik and Suruç districts of Urfa

The HDP delegation continues its visits to the areas hit by two devastating earthquakes on February 6.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Pervin Buldan, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Berdan Öztürk, Kurdish politician Ahmet Türk, HDP Urfa deputies Ömer Öcalan, Ayşe Sürücü and HDP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chair Nimettulah Erdoğmuş visited the earthquake survivors in Birecik and Suruç district of Urfa province on Saturday.

The delegation paid the first visit to Birecik, where they listened to residents’ problems and complaints in the tent city built for earthquake victims.

The delegation then moved to Suruç and talked to survivors who complained that no tents and daily supplies had been delivered to them by the state yet, thanking the HDP for its work on the ground.

The delegation then paid condolence visits to the Doğan family, who lost 8 members in Maraş, and to Mehmed Durmaz, who lost his family in Hatay province.
