Activists in Germany will take to the streets on Saturday to commemorate Sakine, Fidan and Leyla. KON-MED announced the calendar of action.
The Confederation of Kurdistan Communities (KON-MED) in Germany issued a written statement on the 8th anniversary of the Paris Massacre and announced the calendar of action for Saturday 9 January.
The statement underlines that "the reason for the triple killings in Paris is clear, as clear are the perpetrators: The Turkish state and its dark intelligence organization, together with their international collaborators, wanted to intimidate the Kurdish people and the Kurdish women in particular and wanted them to take a step back. Targeting Sakine Cansiz, who represents the identity of the Kurdish woman's combative nature, aimed at intimidating and frightening all Kurdish women.
KON-MED paid tribute to Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez and stated that it was “Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan who gave the order while the French state committed a legal murder.”
