Canadian-Kurdish children write to Parliament for Iba

Kurdish children in Canada wrote a letter to the parliament to promote the purpose of Yusuf Iba, who has been on a hunger strike for 81 days to protest the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Yusuf Iba has been on an indefinite nonalternating hunger strike for 82 days in Toronto, Canada to demand an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan as part of the hunger strike resistances worldwide led by DTK Co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Guven.

Kurdish children living in Canada wrote a letter to the Canadian Parliament to draw attention to Iba’s protest and call for support.

The children’s letter is titled, “Yusuf Iba shouldn’t die, let him live”.

The letter was written in English and French and sent to the region’s MPs, calling them to heed Iba’s protest.

30 children gathered in the Toronto Kurdish Social Center and gave a message in Kurdish, Turkish, French and English to “Accept Yusuf Iba’s demands, end the isolation, let Iba live”.
