CDK-F calls on people to attend Saturday’s rallies in France

Since 14 April 2022, the Turkish government has been carrying out a military operation in several regions of Basûr (South Kurdistan). CDK-F calls on people to attend Saturday’s rallies in France.

The Kurdish Democratic Council in France (CDK-F) called on people to attend the rallies that will take place tomorrow, Saturday in several French cities to protest the Turkish government attacks against South Kurdistan.

In a statement the CDK-F said that “this military campaign is also part of the Turkish project to reconstruct the borders of the Ottoman Empire through the annexation of Kurdish territories in northern Iraq.

At the same time, the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues its military aggression against Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan), in total disregard of international law and the national sovereignty of neighbouring countries. Here again, he does not hide his ambition for neo-Ottoman expansion, particularly targeting the martyr city of Kobanê, a symbol of resistance against the Islamic State.”

The statement added that “as part of the reconfiguration of the global geopolitical order, the major international powers denounce the Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, these same powers remain silent regarding Turkey's military invasion of Kurdistan. This double standard reveals an intertwining of interests and rivalries for hegemony, to the detriment of the people, a policy that we cannot endorse by our silence.

The use of chemical weapons, demographic change, ethnic cleansing, systematic bombings and targeted drone strikes are all elements of the war machine deployed by Turkey inside and outside its borders against the civilian population and Kurdish fighters. Along with these war crimes, the Erdogan regime continues to blackmail Europe, using refugees as bargaining chips to avoid convictions and sanctions.

In Kurdistan, there is an organized people who resist the second army of NATO, its allies of the Barzani clan and its mercenaries and jihadist auxiliaries.”

The statement called “on all people in solidarity with the Kurdish people to demonstrate, wherever they are, on June 11, 2022, by any peaceful means, to denounce the imperialist and repressive policy of the Turkish state.

We also call for defending the revolutionary process initiated in Kurdistan, whose paradigm is based on the liberation of women, direct democracy and an ecological way of life, as expressions of a free society. A social revolution in all aspects of life, which aspires to eradicate the patriarchal, capitalist and colonial mentality of societies, and which has become a source of inspiration for many movements struggling for liberation and the right to self-determination Peoples.”
