CDK-S and YJK-S call for strong participation today in sit-in for Öcalan in Strasbourg

CDK-S and YJK-S called for strong participation today in the sit-in in Strasbourg to demand the right of hope for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been in isolation in Imrali for 24 years.

The Swiss Democratic Kurdish Council (CDK-S) and the Swiss Kurdish Women's Union (YJK-S) called on everyone to participate in the sit-in to be held in Strasbourg today from 10 am to 1 pm, to demand the "right to hope" for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

CDK-S Co-chairs Ismail Kardaş and Selma Sürer said: "The international conspiracy against our Leader enters its 24th year. Its aim was to leave the Kurdish people and the peoples of the world without a struggle.

All the working and oppressed people in the world did not accept this conspiracy and will not. Although this conspiracy was partially foiled, we continue our resistance, demanding freedom for our Leader. We will start a sit-in to demand our Leader's right to hope to coincide with the sessions to be held at the Council of Europe today. We will call for the right of hope to be applied to all political prisoners in the person of our Leader as soon as possible. In this context, we invite all our friends, especially Kurds living in Switzerland, to participate in the sit-in."
